Safari

For the Safari project I used a blue color pencil to draw the tiger in the background. Then used cool colored crayons to cover the picture up.

Eric Carle

In my Eric Carle's project I used different colored painted papers to make a colorful butterfly. I used darker colors on top to accent different shapes on the wings.

Starry Night Fingerpainting

My painting is my own expression of Vincent Van Gogh's Starry Night. I used flowly lines on the top in my sky. My own vision of the town is my background at home where the hills just flow from one to another. I really like that at my house I don't have many people around and can just sit outside and watch the nature go around without the hustle and bustle of city life.

Elements and Principles of Design Composition

I had the elements of Line and Rhythm. I used contruction paper, sandpaper, computer paper, paint, crayons, and ribbon. I made a rhythm patter in the background. In the forefront I used ribbon and made a rhythm with the line of the ribbon. I really liked my composition because the pattern in the back showing the different colors and textures. The line gave it a popping out that took your eyes to the rhythm.

Footprint Introduction

I put a tent and campfire on my footprint because I like to spend time with my family camping. The deer is because I like to hunt. The music notes is because I like to go hunting. The paper and pencil is because I like to write and doodle. The number blocks are because I like to teach children. The books are because I like to read in my free time.
Ansel Adams: "The Tetons and Snake River, Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming"
Description:
  • Mountains
  • River
  • Trees
  • Clouds
  • Snow
  • Values of Black and White
  • Curvy Lines
  • Dreary Light

Analysis:

  • Movement - curvy river
  • Value - Shades and tints of Black
  • Shape- triangle shape of the mountains

Interpretation:

The artist is walking home from his expedition and looks back to see where he just walked from. He sees the curvy river disappearing into the mountain side. He can see the snow on top of the mountain and he knows that he must make it back home before the snow traps him in the valley with no means of escape.

Judgement:

I really like the tranquility of the piece. I would love to have a house right were the artist is standing to see the beautiful landscape through out the seasons.
